Software Licensing Extension.

Well known software company in Scotland wanted to sell their software packages using Magento Ecommerce and part of the selling process was to generate licence key for each software product. Once the order has been made buyer would get unique licence key in email along with order delivery. The challenge here was to consider the specific parameters client wanted us to be included in generating licence key for every order. KGN Technologies developed a unique extension to fulfil above requirement which would take value of defined parameters from products and Magento admin configuration which can get licence key from already available web service of our client.

Explode Menu for Magento enterprise

Our client from Australia wanted to use explode menu in their enterprise edition of Magento. We tried to implement community version extension to use in Enterprise edition but didn’t get desire success. We ended up with developing our own explode menu extension for Enterprise Edition. Explode menu extension is for customizing menu display in more user-friendly way. This extension is allowing Magento admin to have full control over menu links display e.g. how many columns to be displayed, what level of hierarchy should be shown ..etc. It is also compatible in various browsers.

Save cart/restore cart

We have developed the extension to save the current cart on Magento. Client has requirement to allow users to save their current selection for future use. Logged in users can save the cart by giving any name to it. Saved carts are shown under my account section in separate tab. Customers can view/delete these saved carts. Customer can also restore these saved carts.

Edit the bundle product from cart

Our clients requirement was to provide functionality to edit the bundle product added in cart. Customer can change the options and add the same product back to cart. Customers can click on bundled product in cart and they are taken to product detail page with all the options selected. Customer can change the options and other fields just like they are adding new product. While they click on add to cart product is added to cart in place of previous product.

How did you hear about us

We have developed extension which asks customer during checkout for “how did you hear about us”. Drop down is displayed at the last step of checkout. Options of drop down are managed by admin. Value selected by customer is saved in database. This value is displayed on order details page as well as PDF invoice. This value is also send in order confirmation emails.

Product on CMS pages

This particular Magento extension was developed to show the product or products from particular category in to CMS page. New module is created which read specific predefined pattern from CMS content and displays matching product/products from mentioned category. Extension is developed such way that client can change the Layout of products on CMS pages. Admin can specify the layout of product while adding them to CMS page.

Image swatches for configurable product

We have developed extension which shows image swatch for colour attribute on left hand side filter and under each product on product listing page. Colour swatch under each product is to make customer aware that a product is available in this colours. Clicking on colour swatch on product listing page changes the product image for that colour. Product detail page has also same functionality for colour swatch and image changes along with matrix to select colour size combination. Selected products are added to cart using AJAX.
